This is the star Sirius as imaged from Lake Alamo State Park on 12-12-2018. Sirius is the brightest object in the sky this time of year, and I wanted to get a shot with my 500mm lens. I shot 8 28 second exposures, and was really surprised when I looked at them the next day. There seemed to be a pulsating glow when I looked at them next to each other. I took the 8 exposures, and made a video out of it so you can see the pulsating phenomena. Bear in mind that the lines emanating from Sirius in the first and last frames is called lens flare, and is caused by my 500mm prime lens. I did no other editing on these 8 images, what you see is what Sirius really did.
